Students using computers in their residence hall rooms are required to register their system through the SafeConnect procedure.
When you open an Internet browser for the first time, you are presented with a login screen. If the SafeConnect login screen does not come up the first time you access your internet browser, reload the page or directly type in www.mansfield.edu.
You will need your Campus Services ID to log in. Please be aware that a "policy key" will require installation in order to go through our procedure.
Once logged in your machine will present you with either the page you were trying to access, or a page detailing your configuration problems.
By registering through SafeConnect and following the prompts, we assign your machine an IP address (the address you need to connect to outside world) and associate it with your user id. We also make recommendations on software and fulfill requirements you may be missing.
This is used as a tool to help the CT department troubleshoot problems and other issues in a quick and timely manner. In return, we are able to serve the TechConnect community more efficiently; as well as help you keep your machine clean, speedy, and safe!
