Minimum PC Requirements

Below is the MINIMUM recommended PC configuration for a student's computer.

System Configuration:

Processor Types:	1.6GHz or Higher
Operating System:	Windows XP (Home or Pro), Any Windows Vista OS
Memory:	1GB or higher
Network Card:	10/100 Network Interface Card
Other Equipment Needed:	Sound card, speakers or headphones, printer, CD-ROM drive
Recommended:	CD-R/RW, Flash Drive device (Thumbdrive or Jumpdrive)
Browser:	Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
Software:	Microsoft Office 2007. Also anti-virus software such as McAfee. The University supplies a current copy of McAfee Antivirus, available at the My.Mansfield (my.mansfield.edu) intranet site. This site requires a login - students should use their email username & password for access.

Mansfield is PC-centric. We highly advise that when considering a new unit you purchase a Windows compatible machine. Windows XP and Vista are both supported.

There may be additional software requirements for the particular online course you are taking. Please check with your instructor.
