About our Student Email
All Mansfield University students receive a Mansfield email account through Office 365 after being accepted to the university.
- Your Mansfield email account must be used for ALL Mansfield University electronic communications about academic matters.
- You are responsible for any announcement or assignment that a faculty member sends to your Mansfield address, and you should check your account on a regular basis.
- Faculty and administration will communicate academic and official information only to your Mansfield email account.
What happens to my email address after I leave the university?
If you graduate from Mansfield University, you will be able to retain your email account. However, if you do not log in at least once every 6 months, you will lose your email account. Also your email address will switch from using username01@mansfield.edu to username01@mounties.mansfield.edu for logging in. Any email sent to the @mansfield.edu will still be able to be delivered.
If you do NOT graduate from Mansfield University and are no longer an active student, you will lose your email account. Access will be removed shortly after you are officially separated from the institution.
What happens to my email address if I return to the university?
If you are an alum of MU and still have your university email account, your email address will switch from using username01@mounties.mansfield.edu to username01@mansfield.edu for logging in. Any email sent to the @mounties.mansfield.edu address will still be able to be delivered.
If you did NOT graduate from MU or you are an alum but your email account was deleted, a new account will be created for you with the same email address.

Where is the student directory?
Mansfield University publishes directory information for students on our secured intranet, My Mansfield. Campus users must logon to My Mansfield with their Active Directory username and password (same as your email address and password) to access this web directory.
