Confickr/Downadup Worm Virus

Recent news articles have warned computer users about the “April Fool’s” virus that is set to launch on April 1st. This virus is a variant of the Conficker /Downadup worm that has been in the wild for some time.

Removal Tools
Several vendors have made removal tools available for the Confickr/Downadup worm. We are providing links to these tools as a service to our service to our students and employees for their personal use only. If you suspect you may have to Confickr/Downadup worm, you may consider running on of these tools. *Do not use these tools on University owned PCs without consulting the CT Help Desk.*
